THe Spec V seems to bee too inconsistent, especially in SCC where they had to towel wrap the Knock sensor, take out the balance shafts. I wouldn't want to mess with all that and just buy parts for the SR that I know work already, since its been out so long. And you can probably as someone said outhandle the Spec V anyway.
I wouldnt get a G20 if it was an auto.Im looking at only 99-02 G20t 5-speeds.
If I do the G20 I will be adding a turbo kit to the stock US SR20DE motor.
My Spec V is really strong.I got in in mid to late 02 so its not one of the first ones that i've herd people having problems with.
The only way a G20 will out handel a Spec V is if its got aftermarket suspension. The Spec V from the factory is an awesome handeling car.
You are right about the fact that we all know what a SR can do and what parts to put on one vs the QR being uncharted.
