So I'm looking at this mani for the t3 super 60 i'm hoping to get. I know that a GOOD mani's are expensive but is 800 TOO much for one? ITs a tubular mani so that prolly bumped the price. Anyone know anywhere else I can get it for cheaper? Thanks

if you plan never to change your manifold, so far the best you can get i think is the ground zero manifold. you can get cheaper ones than $800 like IAP or revhard.

you there are really 3 options for manifold - 2 are OK, one is pretty stupid.

1) Go to http://www.jgsturbo.com and buy their log manifold for $300.

2) Spend $800+ on a true equal length mani

3) (This is the stupid one) Waste money on some **** mani like ETD racing or something that is tubular but not equal length. There will be detriments to running a manifold with longer runners that are just tossed around to look cool.

So my advice to you us to find the cheapest log mani you can find that allows for the placement you want. The JGS turbo mani is the best/cheapest I know of. It does require the turbo flange to be welded on...but youre a girl, so smile pretty and stand up straight and it'll be no more than $50 at any fab or exhaust shop.

TOKI- my dad is a machinist so welding anything would be free hehe. Is the JGS turbo mani any good? I dont wanna waste any money on something thats gonna leak and have to be welding 500 times. I would rather spend 800 than 300 if its a better mani

Get a revhard.Cheapest one out there and good quality. No worries from it.Beware of the copies though some mild machining is needed for the copies.Revhard will last.

Having a truly equal length manifold only slightly increases response. A difference in power is still theoretical as is most hype surrounding the equal length theory.

The GroundZero manifolds are very sturdy and obviously make good power. They are on group buy I believe...

honestly there is little to no reason to go with an equal length manifold unless you're shooting for over 400whp. I have a JGS manifold thats held up fantastically over a year and 10,000miles of driving. Check em out, you'll understand there is no chance of anything on it cracking.

did anyone catch this?

either go with the ground zero manifold and a better turbo, or go with the super 60 and something less extravagant like a jgs log or even something from ssautochrome.

imo, it doesn't make sence to spend that much on a manifold only to us a subpar turbo.

so what you're saying is that equal length manifolds are kind of overrated?lets say you have 400whp with a log manifold, like say rev hard, and then you switch to a good equal length like the one you have, what WHP increase would you be expecting?-tim

Just swithcing to any type of tubular manifold that has long-ish runners and larger diameter runners with a well designed collector will show very nice gains over a restrictive piece. it doens't have to be equal lenght to give good gains..

okay so i looked at this right (this is gonna be a n00b question lol)http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html

In-Stock and ready to be cut and welded.Place almost any type of turbo where you want it! Will support 500+WHP with the proper turbo system. Features- 1.610" ID Piping, divided flange, surfaced, radius plate, and your choice of our many turbo flanges.$287.50

Then is says select flange type: If I get the super 60 (T3) I just pick standard t3, right? And then 287.50 is the price for the t3 manifold. right? Or will I have to weld it? I cant find a manifold for the de on this site except for this one.

Thanks!

It comes like the picture shows and then you have to weld the flange itself on. ...and a wastegate dump if your turbo is externally gated.

If your dad is a machinist and welding is free why not ask him/pay him to make a tubular manifold its not that hard just time consuming and material is cheep

mmm that could be possible. I'd have to get him a picture of what I want and prolly just pay for the material. I'll have to talk to him

okay i talked to my dad. He said he could do it. It would be out of sort of exhaust piping. He said I would need measurements for the flange, bolt size (for holes) & length of the piping. Does anyone here have a tubular mani for a t3 super 60? If you can could you measure all the mani for me? I really really would appreciate it

Glad to hear it turned out that way. Its nice to have a performance part of sentimental value on your car (your dad made it), just makes it that much cooler and more enjoyable to use plus you get a one of a kind tubular manifold.
