What are your guys opinions on lightweight pulleys?

Crank and accessory drive pulleys

My crank pulley i noticed had some chips on it so i want to replace it. Was browsing and seeing what was available and came across pulleys on ebay

http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav= ... 22&alt=web

What are the pros/cons of these? Also saw a lot of accessory pulley sets available

Lightweight pulleys are fine for alternator, waterpump, power steering etc, but having just an aluminum pulley on the crankshaft is asking for trouble.
The factory crank pulley is made to absorb and Dampen crankshaft harmonics which is a big deal, especially in RB engines as the cranks are not fully counter weighted. This harmonics are also what can lead to oil pump gear breakage.

If you can afford it id by a Ross or ATI etc.. much better than a stock pulley, and a good addition to an engine rumored to be plauged with harmonic issues
