so i just got back from the nissan/infinti dealership and looked at a nice g35x, its a 08 w/o nav or back up cam, great condition 24k miles 1 owner (leased) looks great, runs great feels great! asking price is 27,998. if i would purchase im trading in my 04 5m/t coupe wich has a few problems and there giving me just enough to pay it off @ 14 grand. to get me out of the door with a 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty @ 72 monthes is $507 a month. i can afford it but its alot more than i wanted. Do you all think its worth it? and why?

I really think that price is 2k to 3K too much without looking at KBB...check cars.com and autotrader.com to get comparible asking prices.

I don't think its worth it.

December is the best month of the year to purchase a new vehicle.
First get internet prices on a new one.
Shop a few dealers with test drives
drag this out until Dec 24th & Dec 31st
I'm sure you'll do better than $507 a month with all of your requested options
Brand new vehicles come with all new parts and a warranty
You have time to decide if you want an extended warranty
Try to line up your own financing thru your own bank or credit union or the bank of mom & dad.
Paying cash is the cheapest way to go

A quick search in my area finds this 25K mile 2008 G35X listed for $24.9K...again, their asking price. Of course, if I were buying I would have to check it out in person, but this would give you an idea of the asking price. So, this is about a $3k difference.
Yes, I would try to get them to come down at least $1.5K.

When looking at buying a car, always check to see what trade-in would be for that particular vehicle and go from there. If you take this deal, you will be upside down and if you ever decided to get rid of it in a few years, you would still owe money that would just be tacked on to your new loan. If you don't have money to put down, then I suggest selling your G coupe outright to pay off the loan and get some money for a down payment. When I bought my G 5 yrs ago, I didn't trade in a car, I put down a couple grand and I DID NOT accept the asking price. There is always room for negotiating the price. I was never upside down in my loan and paid extra every month to pay it off faster. As the car sets now, worth 14-15K, I owe nothing on it.

I got them down to 440 a month and the total price after taxes and everything was 27grand even. i think i came out ok. they gave me enough for trade in to pay off my old car and a little extra. Its a 08 G35x with 24,000 miles so far so good. i feel like i talked them down enough to get a good deal. so far im loving it! (other than the bird that pooped on it soon as i drove it out of the parking lot haha

Sounds like a deal!
I keep a bottle of Zaino detail spray and towel in the trunk for those surprise bombings.

This car sounds like it's a cpo? If it is, it sounds like you got a better deal than me.i paid 28k for mine with same make year model and everything except wood trim. What state are u from?i bought mine from jersey and they originally wanted 29...

A for the 100k 6yr bumper to bumper, are you sure the cpo warranty is bumper to bumper? The sales man I bought mine from didn't make it clear and I understood it to be power train only. If someone can explain how or what the cpo warranty coders that would be great.
