opinions on exhaust

i have a 89 240 with the KA motor. Its all stock. Im gonna get full exhaust, but know nothing about the brands of exhaust. in you guys's opinion what is the best sound exhaust and can you point me toward a good deal on a decent sounding exhaust, headers and all. also does anyone know where there are soundclips of different brands. any help would be appreciated. thanks everyone

Many people would vouch for the BRM catback. You can get them in dual tip and single. Ive seen a few in person and they sound great. heres a link

i've got an ssautochrome catback on mine and have been very happy with the purchase so far. it's been on the car for over two months now. it has a good deep tone and fit PERFECT. i've got a soundclip at home that i meant to post to a thread a while back. i won't be home again until sunday to try to do that though.

i'd recommend the ssautochrome simply because it's so inexpensive. i paid about $200 (with an ebay discount) for 3" stainless mandrel bent catback. it's hard to beat that price. back in the day the stuff they made wasn't that great, but within the last few years i've heard a lot of good stuff about their work.

I have a KYO exhaust, bought off Ebay for $200 something.. 3" mandrel bent stainless steel all the way back.. Ive had it for six months, couldnt be more happy. Has a real nice deep tone, but its real loud with headers and a straight pipe, I use the silencer it came with. Heres some pics of it on my s13:

Dude that exhaust looks great. What size is it and what header did you use for it?

I got magnaflow. Cost me $200, looks great and the sound is nice and deep, not too loud.
