NISMO MAKES ONE. GET A DETROIT-LOCKER SYSTEM OR A HELICAL STYLE YOU'LL BE MUCH HAPPIER.

DESIGN, THE HELICAL SUPPOSEDLY HAS LESS SLIP AND IS ALWAYS ACTIVE, ALSO HAS LESS MOVING PARTS. ITS A PERSONAL PREFERENCE THING, THE DETROIT-LOCKER SYSTEM HAS THE MOST TORQUE HANDLING CAPABILITIES.

Actually it depends on the type of driving you'd be doing and how much power you'd be putting down. If you want to be able to adjust your torque split bias and when it kicks in, a clutch-type is for you. I've heard nothing but good about KAAZ LSDs, and they're easy to take a part and adjust bias. They're extremely predictable.Helical/mechanical/torsen are great too, but the only way to adjust it is buy the one that suits your driving style the first time. They don't hold as much power as the clutch-type but they don't reqiore regular servicing. The catch is, it dosen't work if one wheel is off the ground.

If you're a cheapie, then you should look into Phantom Grip. It's this little clamp thing you install into your existing open diff and it acts a lot like a Torsen. The detroit locker is basically an air-locker. The catch is, it's either on or off. No inbetween like the helical or clutch-type.

I intend on using it for a combination of drift and grip, so it will be nice to be adjustable. Horsepower won't be insane, guessing around 250-350 after I rebuild and turbo my spare KA, but until then its just the stock KA thats in my MS13.

He owned a Cusco, but never owned a Kaaz. I think he said that they are a bigger, more reputable company, and have better quality product than Kaaz. I think he was talking about the workmanship, not performance, because he never used a Kaaz.

I don't want to put down Kaaz, I'm sure they make descent LSDs, but as far as brands go I consider Cusco to be among the top LSD manufacturers (like NISMO).
