Well I think I might have found myself a 240. Here's the specs:

1991 Nissan 2405 speedSE (IE power windows, sun roof, alloy wheels etc)

Pros:Brand new engine with 70k miles.Interior is pretty good, driver seat isn't torn.No rust in the trunk area or at the rear spoilerFast as hell for stock (daaayuuum in other words)

Cons:Paint is faded on some areasHas the infamous timing chain tick, but it's barely noticeable and has only been doing it for about a month (so says private owner) however, with an engine with 70K miles I would expect it to start up right about now anyways.

All this for $500, what do you guys think?

I should go check this car out first hand to make sure it's a good deal. Shoot me the address :D

A running 5 spd S13 for $500, jump on it (assuming clean title).

dude man 500 is cheaper than what 89 240sx shells with ~200k sell for in the Bay Area. Get it even if it's just for parts dude 500 is an awesome deal.

just make sure there is no frame damage. Get the VIN# and run it on carfax (or facts? forgot lol). You don't want a car that has been in TOO many accidents ya know? So just check the number to be safe.

Checked it out, some lady backed into it in a parking lot, and hit the passenger side front fender, that would explain the new paint there :p Other than that that is the only accident that car has been in.

Just the right front fender was mushed up, has a new one on there, so the body is perfect, just the paint is faded, not a big deal, I will just primer it black.

I paid $2000 for mine. I got a 1989 se model and I love it. I would have jumped on it even faster if it had only been $500. If it runs good I'd say take it! I don't think I'll ever buy any other car after owning my 240. Plus they have so much potential. SOOO much. :firedevil

$500?! You had to come on the internet and ask whether or not you should do it!?!?!?!!!!

I'll tell you what. If you give me the seller's number, I'll give them a call and negotiate the price down even further, therefore maximizing your investiment. As a fee, you can give me half of whatever I can save you. ;)

For $500 I wouldnt care if it was missing doors and wheels. Shower curtains and steel rims get the job done!!!

Hehe, I just kept talking him down, it was a breeze. It's a great car and today I have the fun of changing all the spark plugs/wires/oil/filers/etc and making the car run like new again. :)

btw I live in Greeneville, about 45 min west of JC, and about an hour and 15 min from knoxville.

mine was like 2700 and it was a salvaged title.

the axle rwd was broken and the frame was a little bent but my dad bought the car any ways.

but i runs good and i still love it. Great value for a first car.
