I am wondering how a set of 17x7 rims with a 42mm offset would look on a 91 240sx. The stock 15" rims are 40mm offset. Will this also affect tire wear any info would help since I notice alot of 240's run with offsets in the 30's and is this a preferred offset for a 240.

I have those exact same sizes and with a 205/40 tire you can clear coilovers. i also have 225/45 in the back and everything fits fine. it looks a little sunken, but its worth the price differance.

I've 17X7 with that exact offset of 42. imo they look like crap. fyi I am running 215/45 all around.

Excuse the wing. I got it for free and fixed it up(put it on for a week for the hell of it). Intend to sell

the stock 15" rims are only 6 wide...not 7. So if you wanted to know how far they came out convert an in to mm and then add 2 I guess.

I am looking into a 7" wide rim with a +25, but I have no idea how it will look. I just know I have clearance problems because of my coilovers

I have the kts coilovers and don't have a problem with clearance with 42 offset and a 7" width. From what I understand, I doubt you'll have problems with a 25+ offset. Shouldn't it be further away from the coilover and closer to the fender?

correct. The closer to zero offset, the farther away from the coilover you go.
