If you'd like the wheels to blend in, I'd say gunmetal. How about a bronze/gold color? I'm debating whether or not to repaint my HREs bronze....

I'm kind of leaning towards getting a factory OEM rim or the Gunmetal - just don't know if you can paint wheels to look like Gunmetal or not.

I don't know how bronze or gold would look. It's hard to picture in my head. Wish I had some photoshop skills.

I think the one wheel looks kinda cool - I would probably opt to do all 4 in the car color.

I think I would go with a can of flat black spray paint and paint the wheel with it on the car, making sure to get the calipers.

Then I would take it down to Toni's Tires and getting some blood red tires with white wide walls. Should be really hot.

I vote to go OEM. I would be worried that the paint may wear off and look bad later.

Is anyone good with photoshop and willing to change the wheels to gunmetal in the profile view picture above?

Just curious what it might look like.

Thanks!

Agreed. Plus if you nick the curb or something, you'll have silver spots poking through.

Then I change my vote to gunmetal. But you realize that you probably just jinxed yourself and you'll end up raking one of the wheels along a curb tomorrow, right? Or is that only my luck?

Email me some larger (higher res) shots of the car. Preferably like photo number 2.

I'll PS them tomorrow in a few color options for you to consider.

Here's another car I did before:

I know I did, at least if I do it before I take them in they will have to fix it

My PSing skill have seen better days, but here's what I came up with:

Body color:

Gunmetal (Getting this color was difficult and it's still not right. Gunmetal or Hyper Black has some interesting lighting characteristics that are too hard for me to recreate in PS):

Bronze emphasizes the tire sidewall thickness and makes the wheel looks smaller (not usally a good thing):

Wow! Amazing job!

Thank you again.

I'm kind of leaning towards the Gunmetal... Still not sure but this helps A LOT!

Would you leave the lug nuts silver or paint them as well?

based on the pics, I like the body colored wheels better with that color car, but might think otherwise in person.

DON'T paint the lug nuts. The wheel holes get beaten up easy enough and they aren't supposed to come in contact with anything. The lug nuts will just start peeling the first time the wheels are dismounted.

Go buy some tuner lugs that have the anodized aluminum coating if you want a color change.
