Ok, i have a APC Stainless steel oval muffler with dual 4" tips. Now i know APC is like not the best brand out.. But would it be better to add this muffler to my 240 than having the "stock" muffler?? Cause i'm not looking to buying a muffler if i have one that will do just fine..

your right apc isn't the best brand out there, it's actually the worst company on the market today. i'd buy a pacesetter exhuast before i bought an apc "ready to weld on to a lawnmower" muffler. cmon man atleast show some pride in the kick *** car you have, spend the extra money and get apexi muffler or somethin. but to answer your question, i'm not really sure if that muffler would do anything for you. any power gains would most likely be marginal at best, plus it'll make your car sound like a honda.

It's going to do the exact same thing a more expensive muffler will do but it won't have the cool JDM name on it or probably sound as good. However it won't do anything if you just weld it on to your stock exhaust (except make it really loud).

I have a 97 S14 and added a APEX cat-back system Dunk with 3" stainless steel tip ...the sound is a little deeper but performance is noticeable. I hate how honda's sound, save a little more money and get something more worthy for your car.

I got a saying for this:-do it once, do it all, do it right.

essentialy for your predicament this is what that means:-return the APC muffler...-save more money-go find a cat-back exhaust unit that will look nice(to you) and provide the following benifits over and above the APC crap: more power, nicer sounds, more longetivity.

if you're not a big fan of loud exhaust or something, RS*R makes a nice, and quit stealthy N/A exhaust that looks just s midgen more agressive, but doesnt sound bad or loud, etc..

-chettrust me, you dont want to pay 50 dollars to weld that POS onto your stock piping, then realise the mistake, and have to re-buy a system..
