Hello all, I am new to Nissans but not cars. I currently have a 93 240sx with an sr20det blacktop swap. Minor mods consist of Nismo FPR, Greddy TVVC, AEM wideband, Autometer boost gauge, lightwieght flywheel, 6 puck sprung clutch, large FMIC, Tien springs, 3" turbo back exhaust, aluminum radiator w/dual fans, Greddy rocker stoppers, new oil pump, oh! and a spun rod bearing..... . Now what i'm thinking is an sr20de na block 9:5:1 stock, my det head, big plenum intake, thermal intake mani gasket, HKS wg actuator, Greddy oil pan, BC 264 cams, MR turbo mani, and about 12 lbs of boost. Will this setup last, and will it be a big difference from the stock blacktop? I've spoken w/ a shop who actually suggested this motor as a cheap solution. In the future I would like to run a larger turbo and i'm just curious if the sr will hold up without being "built". No flames please.

well i'm not too familiar with the SR motors but from what I hear and read they take a hell of a beating just like the KA motors do so as long as you stay within reason I would think you would be fine but don't take my word for sure it's not in stone so just wait for a SR owner to put there input in and confirm or school me lol
