Hey guys well it comes down to wether or not im goin to use the stock manifold or the ssac. Im using the pulsar gti-r t28. The turbo fits perfectly fine with the stock manifold, but with the ssac its position lower and the wastegate is up against the motor mount. Also after clocking it as far as it will let me the triangular hot pipe piece is bascically resting against one of the runners on the manifold. My question is which should i use. I can get somehting custom made by a freind for the ssac one. Will the ssac make a big enough difference in performance wise to even bother with it. I got some pics so just let me know. Oh and my new head is on !!!

you'll see gains from the SSA one, worth fitting it as you have it. wouldn't buy one though

you don't need to rotate the inlet side any further than you have done, it looks right roughly where it is to me.

I've had to cut a little out of the engine mounts before to fit large turbos on SSA manifolds, as long as you don't touch the rubber it will be ok

make sure you check the SSACrap manifold for weld slag and penetration before you use it.

I don't want to alarm you but someone stole your cams

how much is the actuator hitting by? make a custom braket or cut your motor mount out a bit if u can ! i know with the s15 turbos and the ssac manifolds u need to cut the mount a bit for the compressor to fit in there!

I still can't figure out how people had to cut out part of mounts or are hitting the steering shaft. I had the ssauto mani and s15 turbo on and didnt have any fitment problems at all. I didnt think there were really any major physical differences between the gti-r turbo and the s15 either. Beans33...I sold you that manifold and was sincere about everything fitting perfect on mine. I apologize for the fact that its not working for you. Are you using CA or ka mounts?

ur dealing with ssac i bet every manifold sits different then the other! hahaha!

i had to cut out 2 CM's off the mount for it to fit on one of the cars i was doing!

have you seen the size of the actuator on the GTiR? it's much larger than the stock CA actuator.

kinda blurry, but you can see the GTiR on the left is very different in size than the stock t25 on the right

I too ran into that same exact problem. I haven't fixed it yet but intend on cutting and threading the actuator rod as well as building a new actuator mounting bracket to position it further forward inorder to clear the motor mount.

if you noticed, I was speaking of the difference between the gti-r and the s15 t28, not the stock t25. But I do notice the gti-r wastegate is bigger than the s15 wastegate anyways.

Im using ca mounts. Im not blaming u teddy for anything I understand that Im dealing with a manifold that is not exactly the best thing. People have problems with them. I was just getting peoples opinion. I guess ill cut some off the motor mount. People could talk all day about these manifolds, so thanks for the quick responses everyone.

i would use the stock one,

or jsut use a HKS, S15, or even the CA/SR actuator

i did notice that, i just wasn't sure what the size of the s15 actuator was. I kinda figured that the GTiR would be bigger though. I remember reading somewhere in the past about it having a nice "upgraded" actuator, but maybe i'm just on crack or something...

I had to trim my mount, but it was just the little stud that sticks up out of it to hold the heat sheild on. It's VERY close, but not touching.

SSAC equal length and S15 T28.

Im running a GTiR T28 on my CA aswell.mine is on the stock manifold tho. I had to cut and re-weld the stock actuator mount to give the pushrod a better angle after clocking it.

My boost doesnt hit in preoperly till just over 4000rpm with that Turbo. ( they have a 0.86 a/r exhaust housing )

If you dont mind cutting out a piece of you mount go with the ssac, otherwise use the stock mani as you know it fits.
