Hey guys, I need your opinions on wheels. I'm lookin into getting some Work wheels, but I'm stuck debating between the Meister S1 3 piece versus the VS-XX. I normally wouldn't be able to afford these rims, but a buddy of mine managed to snag Work and is now a US distributor for them so I can get em mui cheap (well...for work wheels that is...)

Meister look nice... S2 R's are the kind I like if I were able to buy some.

The meister s1 is my absolute favorite wheel of all time. It is an absolute work of art.

Yeah my vote goes for the Meisters which are also one of my favs of all time. They are awesome :ylsuper

The VS-XXs are not a bad looking wheel either.

leave your email and I'll get back to you. I'm hookin up my buddies with work wheels since they got their tax returns and have some extra money lying around.

I think I'm gonna get the meister s1's. The s2r's are sweet and all, but I want that deep lip that the s1's have on them. I nearly crapped my pants when I saw them in my buddy's hands. would 18 x 10's +6 offset or 18 x 11's +0 offset have a hard time fitting into a fastback?

you might need flares with that kind of offset, specially in the back. I have 18x10.5 -2 offset in the back.

Are you able to get some works lugnuts?

Yeah the wheels come with all genuine work hardware.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to get the fender flares with those wheels...but I was expecting it. Prices for 18" tires are way expensive! I think I'll have to opt for the 17" and have my buddy order me the deep dish ones with some wide body panels...oh man why do car parts have to be so expensive!!! *cries*

Bomex, the lugnuts are out of stock and take a few months to get. I asked what he had in stock, he said he's got some muteki's for 40+ shipping (unless you've a better price) and possibly some Rays lugnuts.

The price for the Rays lugnuts is 125, for that much I'd personally rather get some mcgard lock nuts and spline drive lug nuts.

i want things uniform so I'd go with the works lugnuts. I dont need them rightaway since I"m still finishing up my celica for some shoot. Just want to know if theres another place out there where I can get the nuts cheaper.

I can get all Tein products for at least 10% off if that floats your boat. Some of the other JDM stuff varies but I can get stuff like Kei Office, Zeal, JIC, Cusco and other stuff if you want. I'm personally saving for some Zeal D1 spec coilovers. Those'll be so sweet since I'd be able to get 6 months warranty with $100 reuilds with a 3 day turn around for them...sweet Jesus...

hey 180fan, I was talking to you about works rims as well

unfortunately a deal came along on a set of advans that was too good to pass up, so i'm not going to be needing new rims

but as bomexs13 said if you can get coilovers at cost that'd be sweet

thanks anyways :)
