Yeah I'd also like to know about the Kei Office coilover suspension for s13 cause I can get a pretty good deal on them...

Does anybody have any experience/info with them?

No direct experience, but only heard good about them except they are bit expansive.

Well, I assume you know Keiichi, drift king in Japan. that's where the K-office stuffs come from.

Yes, it is a japanese company, it is Keiichi Tsuchiya's parts company. They're quite uncommon in america, presumably because there is no official usa importer of kei office products (as far as I know). If you needed to have your suspension rebuilt/serviced/etc., this might make things difficult. Regardless, looks like they make a couple of versions, Type-XR, Type-GU, and Type-TDII. All three have pillow upper mounts. The XR is designed around track and street use, the GU seems pretty similar, and the TDII, well, that's the most street oriented of the three, although still designed "for sports". Prices seem to be around 200k yen. They have the spring rates and all that on their website, kei-office.co.jp. Sadly, other than what I've read in their ads and on their website, I know absolutely nothing about how their products actually perform. Like I said, they seem particularly rare in the usa.

Someone was offering me this set(used) Kei Office for about $500USDwith upper pillow-ball mounts. Is it worth it?

Is there anywhere in North America that can rebuild them for me if something goes wrong?

Any of your input much appreciated. Thanks

Well, first of all you might want to figure out which model they are. The XR and GU models have spring rates of 9/7 (s13) or 9/8 (s14). Everyone has their tolerance level for stiff suspension, but this would certainly be something to keep in mind. As far as getting them rebuilt, well, this is where I think you would encounter problems. I am almost positive that Kei Office does not have an official usa distributor. I'm not entirely sure, but perhaps a shock manufacturer or shop here in the usa might be able to repair the suspension, but you would have to check. I would think that would be somewhat unlikely, though. Also, I would wonder what sort of condition the set you are able to obtain would be in. For 500 versus 2000, you might be needing them serviced sooner that you'd like, emphasizing even more the difficulty in repairing them. However, 500, assuming they are not beat to hell, is quite a good price. So, is it worth it? I would say that depends on condition (and perhaps the model), all things considered. If you think you can get some good use out of them before they break down on you, then it definitely sounds like something worth considering.

Well, since JIC has an official distributor in the usa, I would think you'd just send your suspension back to them for a rebuild or servicing. As far as how much, ummm.... 100 bucks a corner? I really don't know. Other companies like Tein and (I'm pretty sure) Zeal can be serviced in america by their respective usa headquarters/distributor.
