After returning from a 2 month work trip I went to start my 99 Frontier 3.3, no go. Turns over but no fire. Checked all the obvious, and found no sparky from the dizzy. I ohmed out the cap and coil (pri/sec) and I also checked for power, gnd, everything but the CPS for obvious reasons (no oscilloscope in the glove box). Everything ohmed out per FSM specs.

Anything else I should check before buying a non-returnable $300 part???

After checking the injectors I found no pulse from the ECU. Troubleshot the ECU and found everything in order. Used the CEL to get codes from ECU and after erasing the codes and cranking engine over I got a 0101 for the camshaft position sensor. Replaced the distributor and it fired right up. Maybe this will help someone later...
