Hi guys,

New to the forum here. I am not yet an altima coupe owner, but would certainly like to be one shortly (yes, I am even parting with my beloved lightning with the intent of getting an AC). I am curious about the experience you have had with your altima coupe. I specifically would like to know if anyone has had trouble with shaking/vibration at idle and highway speeds. I am curious because after disclosing the fact that I am planning on getting a nissan to some reliable and trusted individuals, I was warned against it because of their prior experiences. Though this is anecdotal, there were at least three different people I knew with nissans (all were sentras) having issues with shaking and frame vibration with highway driving. Naturally I thought this could just be the model, but a brief online search had me a little bit apprehensive as I found nissan titan forums with similar complaints (but of course what you search for on the internet, you will find). So I simply would like to hear your experience and if it has been at all similar to the above cases, particularly if you have more than 60k+ miles on your AC. I just don't want a skewed perspective to prevent me from getting my dream coupe!

I had a 2008 automatic V6. The only complaint I would have is the interior after a while will get some squeaks and what not. Nothing too terrible, just the minor annoyances of any car really. I have to say out of all the cars I've driven that one was the most fun. It was quick and handled well. Very fun car to drive. Never any shaking that I noticed. And it tracked straight from mile 1 to mile 68,000 (when I traded it in).

I love my new car, but every once in a while I think about buying another one but with a 4 cylinder for commuting. I would strongly suggest buying an Altima Coupe if you want one. You won't regret it. But if you plan on doing anything performance wise, order a manual transmission or you'll be limited.

If this is your dream car, get it! Period.

As for vibrations, the people who you're hearing that from either drove their car nearly 100 mph with no suspension upgrades OR has suspension problems/bad tires. This never happened with me. The loudest thing that I could hear at highway speed is my Intake. My exhaust is loud but quiet on the freeway. Vibration could also be from the Air Conditioner being on, blowing hard. I just broke 60K miles and I haven't felt any vibrations unless I've been driving my car all day with the A/C on. It could also be loose parts in the interior. A lot of factors. Go out and test drive one, you'll see then. If you lived in Sac, I'll be more than happy to give you a ride in mine and you can judge for yourself :)

BTW - Welcome! :dblthumb:

No vibrations here.

^This

My stock brakes squeak but have plenty of pad left. Dealership said that its common with these cars but I think they're just giving me the run around because I'm modded and they don't want to help.

I think thats about it as far as my negative experiences go
