Ok, so I have this really bad popping sound coming from the driver's side armrest area. My guess is that the screw that holds the door finisher on is a little loose and when I put pressure on the panel from my knee, elbow, or even cornering, it's popping.

The only thing I can't figure out, and maybe it's just because I haven't pulled hard enough, is how to get the "pad" part of the armrest off. I know there is a clip in the front, do I just wedge a flat head screwdriver in there and put some leverage on it? Has anyone else managed to open that up?

This is on an 07 sedan.

Bad description, I meant the door armrest, not the center console

Fixed it, you just pretty much grab it at the corner and just pull across the front till the clip comes undone, and then the rest just snaps free.

One screw was one full turn loose, tightened that up, good as new.
