How bad is that? Previous owners didn't take care of the car, the radiator coolant went bad and it got rusty. I'm going to change the hoses because there's a over heating issue due to a cracked hose or its probably dry rotted. Do you think the radiator probably went bad from the rust too?

Honestly I can't tell whats wrong with that picture. Maybe it's just the lighting... Anyways, about the radiator, just Super Flush that bish twice, change thermo, refill with some coolant w/ water wetter and your good to go!

Are you talking about the green paint on the intake cam?

i dont think thats green paint, but i'm not worrying about it until the engine dies. i was wondering if anyone knew what would make that green stuff on it appear and if it was bad. could it be oxidation from previous owners only running water in the coolant until they found coolant to put in?

no man the stock cams are painted green and orange for indication. some nissan cams have orange and tan painted on them. there is nothing wrong with your picture. even if the original owner used water for the car's whole life it would never affect the cams like that. the water that goes into an engine is completely closed off from the cams and lubricating system.

your good to go!

at 1:04 you can see both cams. these are s13 cams so the colors are backwards from yours
