Greetings all,

I'm the proud owner of a 2008 Versa SL model. I've been looking into adding a after market heated seat kit. After checking into various methods (pay someone, use a 'fuse splitter, add another aux fuse box) I pulled the cover off and looked at the box itself and found 5 open fuse slots.

Does anyone know what these open fuse slots are for? Are they prewired for additional options I may not have such as heated mirrors or fog lights? Or are these open and available for my use?

From what I can tell, they have no pre-determined use. I actually put in a second 12V outlet using one of the empty switched slots.

You may have to find a way to get a crimp connector onto the wire and then fit it onto the fuse. It is tricky and you have to be careful when changing fuses. I can take some pictures if no one else has done this.

Thanks Imac! Quick question though. Are these "Mini" fuses or full size? I'm about to order a seat kit and fuses but I can't find any reference in the manual.

With these open slots. I seen some have a tab on one side and not. (copper contact for the fuse). The ones with the tab are they getting power? If so, I guess i could use them to had gauges vacuum-gauge-install-questions-t580764.html or like Kaphah says seat warmers.
