sup guys, guess what, I had an exhaust leak, yeah yeah I know get it fixed, I was waiting to finnally get a pay check from my new job to pay for a new header, cause mine was leaking, its the cat leaking, the first one where it bolts to the header, not the flange the cat itself. well I was turning in the parking garage at school and all hell let lose, it broke off. yep, straaight header. all I can say is damn, I had to order one on my parents cc because the paycheck wont be here for a few days still, and that is soooo loud, lost all power also, feels like a honda now, had to down shift twice on the free way, it sucks, just fuming man that thing is loud

Yeah, that would be loud. You shouldn't have lost power though. You would loose low end torque as a result of less back pressure, but you should have had a nicer top end.

I love it when I unplug my 2-nickel AIV plug. Exhaust sounds like a lawnmower from outside, but inside the car it sounds awesome. Plus its real fun to downshift and go WOT next to people with their windows rolled down

When running open exhaust power is definetly gonna be effected. Especially with n/a motors you will suffer a loss of some really needed torque. Even on turbo motors, I just removed my exhaust off my sr20 and it sounds awesome but it does lag alot on the low end compared to before.

alright guys, enjuku came through again, I got my header right on time, exactly when they said it would, put it on today, man its loud, not as loud as the open exhaust, but still a little tinny, im gonna have to get a b pipe with a resonator for my brm cat back, but I have to wait till I pay off some bills...... heck yeah its a lot more willing to pull

You won't lose alot of low end, but you'll gain some top end. Tradeoffs, tradeoffs.

Zero and I know all about loud exhausts...For the past few days we've been trying to get my RB20 perfect and all it has is a 3" downpipe for an exhaust. So I'm constantly gunning it to see how the power has improved and the entire cars shakes and vibrates, it's freaking intense--but while it is deafening, it sounds like a mix between a really angry, old Ferrari, and an old Mustang. It's not too bad aslong as the popo aren't out in force.
