open diff to vlsd

ok well, im going to get my open diff welded on my 89 240sx and trade it to my friend with a 93 240sx hicas automatic with a vlsd, will that fit my car? and will the welded fit his car?

r200 rear end is a r200 rear end, be sure to swap the output shafts over though!
