1991 nissan 240sx: how to swap open diff to Vlsd

VLSD: 228A with driveshaft bolts, and with Axles

Hello i would like to know steps on doing the change of rear end, from Stock Open differential to VLSD. tools necessary as well as which oil you recommend for Vlsd thats affordable and any tips.

I got the Valvoline Dura blend synthetic 80w-90 since i couldnt find another brand looks good though. please reply my above post if u can help thanx!

I know it's an S14 but many of the steps are probably the same. Also, do some searching and I'm sure you can find some more info that will help.

not much of a difference, you'll have less bolts to put up for the s13 muhahahaha.

haha yeah you were right!!

It wasnt really that complicated, once i got under the car and saw how everything was it just came down pretty simple!

the only thing was gettin the Vlsd bolted on the car its so heavy!!

but it went well....Oh one thing the vlsd after i drove the car it was leaking!! ahhhhh i said wut i do wrong!! but I didnt know that it was since i did put on 3.5ish of oil so the lil extra oil was the one leaking on the little cap of the diff.

i drove to Little tokyo and santa anita mall and back to my house (Victorville) no problems at all. Im glad i did it myself. now i can help people that need help on this swap. thank you for the advice!!
