I measured the resistance of the injectors and found one to be open circuit( rough idle and no power). How do I replace the #3 injector and how hard is it?

1) Release fuel Pressure(pull fuse for fuel pump, run car till it stalls then start it a couple times to get all the fuel out)2) Remove fuel injector tube from intake manifold3) Remove injector from the injector tube -push injector tail piece -do not pull on connector

The vehicle is a 93 240 sx. Do I have to remove the fuel rail, or can I just remove the 2 screws that hold the injector cap, then pull it out with some kind of tool? Thanks

I think in his #2 above, he is talking about the fuel rail (at least that is what it sounds like to me). Should be 2 bolts holding on the fuel rail and that needs to come off. Pull the injector out, remove the wiring, check your O-rings and make sure they are OK, if not I would get the replacements at Nissan and not a parts store (I have bought 2 kits at 2 different parts stores and they do not fit right). Then put everything back together the same way you took it apart. Make sure you DO NOT tighten the fuel rail bolts too tight as they will snap the heads off (I know this from experience!).

Good luck.

On a 93 you can just remove the 2 phillips screws that secure the cover over the injector without removing the rail.Yes you need to replace any remove seals.
