Being a retard I tried to pull out the stock manifold without disconnecting the steering shaft and it dropped 6" so that the aiv bung landed on the U joint.

How bad it that? Do those things ever need to be replaced? How do I drain the power steering fluid and disconnect the shaft?

FSM is on the way. i just got impatient.

why dont you download the FSM? It only takes a few minutes, even if you have dial-up. What U joint are you speaking of?

well i downloaded some sort of service manual but its not the FSM. I'll try the '91-'93 FSM steering might be identical to '90. I was just hoping someone else might've done it before and offer a few pointers. I have a diagram so I'll work it out tommorrow.

thanks

if it still turns, dont worry about it, those things are pretty simple ( robust), so if it still turns smoothly, its fine
