My wife bottomed out our '91 Q45 in a residential road "dip" resulting in a leaking oil pan. I am not sure what is the best way is to handle this repair...a D.Y.I. or??? $$ a new pan or is welding it an option? Any words of advice will be greatly appreciated!!

P.S. yes I have used the "search" re: this topic

NOTE: THERE IS A VISIBLE HOLE IN THE PAN

Just get a new pan, should be an easy hour or two job.

Good luck on faster replacements and repairs [which sometimes work] we charge $500 [6-7 hours] plus pan to replace.

A Mig welder might work if you can drain all the oil and the hole isn't too big. Keep a fire extinguisher handy. Or you could try some JB Weld (epoxy).
