Well tonight on my way to pick up my son the jeep infront stopped quick because of the car in front of it. Well I didnt see the brake lights since the sun light was brighter than the bulb. So glad she had a trailer hitch. Could have been alot worse. I took the blunt of it so I will basicly be looking for a front clip. Glad that were both ok but cant help but feel bad for the old truck.

The biggest injury in my pride. This is the first accident that was my fault. Already checking the pick and pull inventory just need to figure out what years are compatable with my 89.

all the years of HB will bolt up, despite the cosmetic differences. I believe Pathfinder parts will work as well.

Been hitting the junk yards for my headlights and I ahve noticed something weird. All the ones that I can find use the style were you replaced the entire assembly instead of replacing the bulb out of the back.

Do I own a odd ball 89 HB?

Longtooth, it appears you have a very rare 88 3/4 D21. That front end was used on the 87-88 trucks...odd that yours is an '89.
It can be converted to the traditional D21 front end with complete headlight buckets and grille.

Edit: Forgot to say all the WD21 Pathys have those lights, but you will find minor variations in grilles.

It was made in november of 88 and I bought it in january of 89. Its vin and emission stickers say its a 89 also. I will check the older modles.

I got tired of having to take the grille out to change bulbs on my HB so I converted mine to the composite style.

Picked up the headlights today at the junkyard. Now need a radiator. Found a new one on ebay really cheap. They say its for my year with a v6 and maual trans only. No problem on the trans but I got the 4cyl. From what I have seen they should all bolt up fine minus the transmission cooler.

Anyone esle know if that guy is right or wrong?

You'll be good to go with that radiator, longtooth - it should work in any HB regardless of engine or transmission.

The final parts are ordered and hopefull this time next week I will have it back on the road. I think since its undercover now I should get a sander and some primer and remove all of the peeling clear coat and primer it.

Nice work, almost can't tell it was ever hit. Just curious, what kind of fog lights are those?

Those are the bottom shelf autozone fog lights for around 20 bucks.

They fit a lot better than my bottom shelf Oreily's fog lights for around 20 bucks. I might have to get a set.
