ok..so my clutch is still good..my brother inlaw told me that my cluth was just sticking. anyways i wanted to know whats the easiest and cheapest way i can get more hp from my engine(89 240sx SE). All i have done to it is put it K&N air and oil filters, and i changed the gas filter. Next im goint to put a crank pulley and a alluminum radiator with twin fans that dont use my pulleys to run.I was told that the pulley would help me reach those high RPM's faster.

you could do a flywheel and stronger clutch.. or some exhaust, maybe a header and a cat back. also you can hollow out your cat for free. i dont know how much money you have to play with but i would do the cat and flywheel and clutch first... have fun

OK I see your not too car litterate. Start with the basic bolt-ons. IE exhaust, header, intake.

You have a K&N filter, good. Thats all you really need. You can get a full intake but you won't feel much of a gain.

Exhaust: You can get cat backs from many places. If you want cheap, go to e-bay or even the NICO classifieds. You'll most likely find something in your area. Don't forget the cat. A factory cat w/ stock motor and N/A will suffice. But if you must, you can get a high flow unit. Don't gut you cat. You only get about 1-2 HP from a gutted cat vs a high flow unit.

Header: All I can say is "4-2-1", the design that yields the most gains. I'm rockin an OBX from e-bay. While fitment isn't perfect it works. If you can land your hands on a Hotshot header, DO IT, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who will say that.

Intake: AEM makes a good intake for the KA. They even offer a cold air extention to (you guessed it) bring in cold air. The K&N filter will suffice on a stock motor N/A.

I wouldn't suggest using a K&N oil filter on a stock motor. Thier oil filters aren't made to filter better than others. They're made to flow more. Thats it. I would go with wix, mobil, or bosch. Mobil is my filter of choice.

One comment on the K&N oil filter. If you use your car for a daily driver, most any good quality filter will work. If you use your car for racing, either Dirt Track like I do, or Drifting etc with a stock motor, then you will want to consider a High Flow Filter and shorten your change schedule (1500-2000 insted of 3000 miles). This will help counter some of the abuse racing puts on your motor.

Abuse is abuse and you will shorten engine life with racing but racing with restricted oil flow due to a cheap filter is just asking for trouble.

Just my opinion:)
