Got 2 of these today.. back ones had faint outlines of where tread used to be and heavy rain + rwd + no tread = not so much fun ;)

Anywho.. this is what their site says about them:

"Nitto is proud to announce the NeoGen, the next generation in tire technology. The NeoGen is purpose-built for sport compact cars. With all weather performance, excellent dry grip, and a tread pattern proven in independent tests to reduce excessive inside tire-wear on high negative camber vehicles, the NeoGen is truly the next generation in tires."

The tires look purrdy :)

My only complaint: The front tires were moved to the back, which are nitto nt450s & no longer being produced; so the back ones look like they are smaller even though they are both 215/45/ZR17..

sexah tire!

On an off topic side note, todays idiot adventure was:

Eye appointment. Woke up @ 6:50 AM, usually get up @ 9:30.. Drive 45 mins - 1 hour to the eye center to have my vision checked & order contacts. Get there @ 8:30, check in, she says "no hun, your appointment is tomorrow"

....

Oh. Oops.

So i'll be doing the same thing tomorrow. o_O

spoken like someone who hangs out with me too much. If you increase the innder edge of a high negative camber car(make it a stiffer compound) without increaseing tread block size(thusly reducing water traction) it will handle worse, unless its a ehat sensitive compound, which give the price, i doubt it is.

last person I asked about those said they we're great, but I think he just liked the look of them, and the only other tire he had were kumho's.

bleh.

I'd love to test them out against my P-zeros.

on a side note, the michelin pilot sport PS2 is out, and its bad-***. its like Pzero with double tread compounding and even lower outer block voids...I love it.-chet

all I know is that tread = better than no tread -_-

They are only on the front but they seem to grip pretty well, have yet to lock up the front brakes yet, which I did often w/ the nt450s

dunno if its related to the tire or not.. I feel better knowing i've got tread on all 4 corners tho..

I think my Falken Azenis look better;) j/k

Let us know how they work on the street and in the rain. I am thinking about throwing some cheap tires on my stock SE wheels for just that.

I feel much more 'confident' driving in the rain now; but thats because before the nt450s in the back were completely bald. NO tread at all. Driving the rain like that is scary as hell. The new tires are on the front, so the old front tires [same nt450s that were on the back] are in the rear now..Nice driving difference in the rain, but again, it's due to the fact there is tread back there now.

Still not sure how good the neogens are, but as stated above they've yet to lock up on me or fail me.. I like them, seems like a good bang for your buck.

Complaint: Wheels aren't balanced properly.. 85+ feels like its gonna fall apart.. sux

Meant it more as I don't want to throw down $450 for daily driver tires. I am not a moron, and anything that has decent wet traction is better than Azenis that have some of the worst tread blocks for rain.
