Ok, so i'm driving a buddy of mine to work, suddenly i hear this awful sound, almost a grinding... however i deduced that it was a rattle because it only happens when i pass through 1800 rpm, meaning somthing is resonating at that same frequency throwing this fine rattle....

Now i wonder why i never heard it before? Well driving home by myself it was hardly audible... hhmmm sounds like its coming from the right side, louder when more weight is on the right side, louder under hard left conering (more stress on right side) hmm

Coming from the rear right, harse rattle, only happens at around 1800 rpm, and dissapears at anything lower or higher....

I'm guessing a bushing is giving, anyone else care to gander?:) Thanks

My car is currently rattling as well. Mine is the heat shield for cat, I think. Does it rattle only while moving or does the rattle occur when engine is revved but not moving, clutch in or out? Get those expensive theories out of the way first.

Only rattles when moving, and increases with passenger weight and or hard turning, i think it's my rear sway bar bushings, but if anyone has any other idea lettem rip

you should take that wheel off and inspect the whole area for rust. Where you find anything either missing or where there is some kind of build up (or a dry joint) is where you are going to find your problem.

Yea hence the bushing idea, the car has 0 underbody rust, so that certainly isn't the problem, there is a good chance it's a bushing

maybe you just need a good lube back there then? You might not have to replace anything.
