and no high beams. It's the drivers side that works. I checked the plugs with a multi meter and they are both getting power. I cleaned the connections at the switch and that didn't help. I even swapped in a different switch to no avail.

Any ideas?

Are the head lights good to begin with?

Yep, the simple stuff has been covered, lol. Well at least for the low beams, don't know if the high beams are still good, but I've gone through 4 bulbs, I'd like to think that at least one would have a working high beam.

that wire looks like the turn signal or corners...do they work? If not, then that's what that wire is.

Turn signals and corners work fine. I got the high beam (key word beam) to work, only the drivers side. Now my dash dash lights don't work. And my high beam and regular light has been swapped; regular light works in the high beam position and high beam works in the regular switch position. Also the clock light only comes on when the lights are switched off.

I'm kinda making progress, WTF lol

Did you check the fuses? there are separate fuses for each side for low beam/high beams. There's a fuse box on the front driver's side corner of the engine bay. try looking there. If not, check for a loose ground wire in the connector

I know the box you speak of, but don't know how those fuses work?

My 240 does the same thing whenever I wash the engine. Weird, I know, but I bet you washed the engine. One or the other headlights would not work. My mechanics could never find a problem. It takes a long time to dry out here in FL with the humidity, maybe a month, but then starts working again on it's own. I just considered it one of the wonderful mysteries of my car, and don't wash the engine compartment anymore.

Got em both working! High and low beam. Don't know why my dash lights went out though. The clock light only comes on when the head lights are off.

Any ideas?

cool thing this came up. I had fixed my headlights years ago cleaning the contacts in the switch but forgot all about it. Now that I have the problem on another car I couldn't remember what to do. Maybe if I had done a tutorial back then i'd have it handy....

Will do this tomorrow morning. On a related note, anyone have issues w/wiggly headlights? When going down the freeway, you can spot the lights kind of flickering. Or if parked, open headlights and push up and down and see if they're loose. I fixed this a few days ago too.

So what did you do to get the headlights working?
