ok so months of getting the bugs fixed on the car. i registered it today and drove it around. and noticed the turbo was only making 7psi. so i hooked a boost controller to it and it didn't make one bit of difference i even closed the controller all the way and it still only made 7psi

now heres what i think it could be but when i rebuilt the turbo acouple of the fins on the compressor wheel were bent so i took niddle nose and spent about an hour trying to get them as straight as i could. now i prett much figured i probably couldn't get the full protential the turbo has to offer because of this but i mean come on. 7psi is all it can give me?

its just a plan t28 off an s14.

what you guys think?

what doesnt make sense im boosting at 7psi and it feels like a sr with 7psi and it spools up fine. is it possible the wastegate is junk? and its just opening at 7psi no matter if there is a controller on it or not?

I will warn you before i post this, it can be very dangerous....

Disconnect the vacuum hose from the wastegate and plug/clamp the hose (prevent vacuum leak) and go for a VERY SHORT ride,

While driving, very slowly roll into boost and watch the boost gauge closely. If you just go out and hammer on it you could spike to 30psi and melt some pistons.

So roll into boost with the wastegate disconnected and see if you boost more than 7psi.

Yeah, that could def tell you if it's the turbo or not, but to me it sounds like you don't have the MBC hooked up correctly.ps i'm jelous you took yours on the road lol wish i could get my efin title already dammit

ok haha i just found out that i wasn't turning the boost controller knob right..i guess its a bleed type valve and not a ball and spring so by me tightening it all the way down it was just running on the stock wastegate setting.. sorry guys im a dum dum for not researching the type of MBC it was
