Daunt, the method you recommended to increase my compression in my ka24de was to put the 8.6:1 pistons from the ka24e. But "courtesynissan.com" puts the label "only for use in the ka24e" on the 8.6:1 pistons.

It's got to be there for a reason. Any ideas?

For some reason I felt like a posted this exact question. hm. oh well.

Thanks,Nick.

Sorry, sometimes I glance but don't have time to respond. : )

They're for SOHC use only because when put into the other application they raise the compression beyond OE specs. They are made as a "OEM replacement" rather than an aftermarket or race spec only, therefore they are listed as SOHC only to distinguish them from their "race only" pistons which are more expensive. Was I clear..? : )
