Guys & Gals:I've been looking at the '08 Altima FSM that is on this site but it doesn't seem to be easily accessed. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Altima/2008/

It's kind of amazing to me that this would already be available online. Is this the entire FSM? I usually buy one for my vehicles, but could eventually download or print this one out.

When I try to access the various pages, some pop up right away, others seem to lock up my IE.

Has anyone successfully accessed this thing or know anything about it?

Yes, this is indeed the entire FSM.

You might have trouble viewing them because they are fairly large .pdf files that IE is attempting to view within the browser. I would suggest right clicking and saving the file to your computer before opening it.

Save it onto your computer and open with the latest version of Adobe Reader (8.0)

Thanks guys. I do have Adobe 8.0, but didn't yet try to download the documents. That's a fantastic resource!

What is the difference between "2008 Altima" and "2008 Altima HEV"?

And is there an index? I dont rally understand the index coding that is there...what if I want to look up springs, or front suspension? (really, Im not as stupid as I sound)

The fwd.pdf has the index. This manual has the information for the Coupe and Sedan. The 2008 Altima HEV is the manual for the Hybrid.

Yep, I downloaded the whole thing first, then opened them. Cool thing is that the table of contents are basically links, so you don't have to go hunting in each file to find the section you are looking for.

I downloaded everything last night. Still freaking amazed that is out there for our use. I need to spend an evening at the office with our high speed laserjet and print it all out than organize into a binder. Anyone know how many total pages are there?

Click on any of the folders - once opened - on your left you will see an option or tab called QUICK REFERENCE INDEX - this will help you find the section you are looking for.

I've tried to right-click and save, but I can't for some reason (using firefox). Do you right-click on "2008/"?

This thing is over a few thousand pages all together. Expect to use plenty of paper and ink on it plus lots of time. Im burning this on a CD and bringing it to Kinkos or somewhere that can print it all real quick. This has a lot of really helpful info for newbies like myself. I think I'm going to need a 20" binder for all the info lol.

I need to spend a few hours in my office with a few reams of paper. Our machine prints on both sides and hole punches. A big binder will be required, or have Kinkos wire bound it together for a few bucks.
