I know that in Japan when the Silvia went into s14 that the 180sx was still in production with the kouki models. But what about Onevias (sp?) did they just stop making them once they started making s14's? or do they have kouki Onevias?

No such thing as Onevia.

Their equivalent is our 240SX Coupe.

As far as I know, the "Onevia", as you so eloquently put it, was never actually factory produced in Japan.

onevia = 240sx coupe

It was never produced, and is just a name that ricers gave it to sound cool.

actually, the "onvia" was a result of the "sileighty" craze that swept Japan years ago. methinks that after a while, people were asking themselves "since i can put a Silvia front end on my 180SX, i wonder what it would look like the other way around?" i don't think it's near as popular a conversion as the sileighty, but it has been done (though i can't see why; i'm not the world's biggest fan of "pop-up" lights, but that's another story). if u search u can find a video (which u may have seen before) of a 180SX front-ended Silvia (or "onevia") doing a 360 on a track. as far as i know, there were no "onevias" sold brand new at dealerships (unlike the sileighty, which was made by Kids Heart and not Nissan). and the name itself is kinda like a pun towards "sileighty".

so yeah, it was never produced, per se, but instead was a custom conversion. we, however, were fortunate/unfortunate enough to get them like this fresh from the factory. so, to sum it all up, usdm 240SX coupe=240SX coupe. jdm Silvia w/180SX front end="onevia". on second thought, bah, call it what u like. call it oatmeal if it damn well pleases u (where the hell are my meds)...
