Ok so it's been a week since my SR swap. Got some questions.

My speedo and odometer do not work. I searched around on the speed sensor, and if I understand correctly, I need a KA 5spd sensor? I *think* I have the SR speed sensor at the moment (still waiting on confirmation). I talked to a guy who mentioned something about cables being different lengths? (I swapped from a SOHC btw.)

Every like, 3rd time I drive my car...when I turn the key to Acc. my rear hatch wiper goes down and comes back up (just once). It's starting to drive my crazy...anyone know why this is happening to me? lol

What'd you guys do with your windshield washer fluid? Delete or relocate? Currently it's deleted, but I'd like to get it back in there...

I have an ACT street clutch. It makes a rattling and now a squeaking (like a belt) unless I push the clutch in. We thought it was the TO bearing, so we put a new one in but it still does it. Then I come to find out a guy at work has an ACT street on his FWD SR20DET sentra...it does the same thing. We're thinking it's the clutch?

I really think I had more questions lol, but I forgot them while typing this.

you should still be able to use the sr speed sensor as far as i know, u just have to do some wiring around the fuse box for it to read correctly i think, thats how i got m ine working, and you have to make sure its plugged in

I just took out my windshield washer fluid tank. I hardly use it anyways.

My clutch makes a rattling noise too, but it happens when I push in the clutch. I have an OS Giken clutch and flywheel though.

SR speed sensor reads in kph, get a KA 5-speed sensor, it reads in mph. I have no idea on the hatch wiper Heavythrottle's site (I think it was them) says they just made some brackets to mount the washer fluid res. a bit lower so it would clear the IC piping. Not sure on the noise. I have the same issue and thought it was my TOB, but if this is such a problem across different clutches (I run a Competition Clutches clutch) I guess it is something else. I noticed that when I put slight pressure on the shift fork by touching it, the noise goes away. This would explain why pushing/barely pushing the clutch pedal makes it go away. Maybe someone can help us out with this noise problem.

I'm sure it's the fork, just don't know why. The wiper thing is killing me though!

Did you check the pivot that the clutch fork pivots on? It might be loose making the fork to rattle a little.

^Man I hope not. I hope it's just the fork or something simple.

I posted this in the other thread, but for redundancy's sake:

****! I grind going into 1st, 2nd, 3rd randomly...not all the time but yea...and I squeak when idling unless I put pressure on the clutch. And when driving in like second....through a neighborhood...as soon as I stop accelerating (so holding a constant speed) or I coast in 2nd gear from like 3K rpm I get this horrible rattling like a chunk of metal bouncing around in a metal can...slightest bit of gas and it goes away...

If that piece is broken on my trans, I'll just get another used one and inspect it first. That guy in the other thread said he paid $450 to have it fixed. Used SR and KA trans go for b/t $100-$300 a pop around here. Clawhammer, if you saved your SOHC KA trans just switch the bellhousings and put it in.

I had an automagic. But I was thinking about that anyway since it'd be cheaper. However, I think I've got bigger problems now. Check out my latest post in 240 gen.

^oh yeah! I forgot about that, sux. I posted in the other thread. Just stop by Mazworx, get the adapter plate for a Z32 trans and pic one of those up for ~$300-400. As far as I've read there isn't much fab work involved (just some changes in the linkage and maybe the crossmember, but can't remember on the last one). That trans holds ~1000whp and is 6-speed

How did you fix it? Or...what specifically was wrong?
