OK so far I have tested the entire ignition system and it is all working, I have tested the compression and air flow and it is all great, Now I heard that the s12 has problems with there computer and fuel pump, I notice the pervious owner told me he changed the fuel pump, So i notice when i turn the key to on with the engine off the fuel pump just keeps working, then I unplugged the computer because I hear that it controls the ground to the fuel pump so i assum it would naturaly shut off if i unplug it, so i did and of course its still running so thats weird i go to the back and i saw the someone had added a wire to the fuel pump ground and grounded it to the body, so I took it off and i plugged the computer back in and tried to start it and i notice the fuel pump wont start at all. I will check to see if the wire is not cut somewhere but could this be a possibility that the car wont start? I mean there is a heavy gas smell, clounds of white smoke coming out of the TB and pretty much the main problem is that I can start it and then it just shuts off within 5 sec, and it just cuts off when i step on the gas even just a little bit. Then it takes like forever to start it again, its a cycle that is driving me nuts. I NEED A CAR If i need to change the computer, will any computer do? interchangable? cause I cannot find the exact matching number computer.

does the fuel pump not cut off after a few seconds of having the ignition running?

the ecus on the cars are notorious for going bad.

is it a turbo car or NA?
