haha well blue smoke. Getting the headgasket changed and valve guide seals changed. Those are the only 2 problems i can think of that are the cause. If my piston rings went out would there be oil all over the electrode of my spark plug? Also im basically stock redtop with bolt ons and 60k motor. Does it sound normal that rings would go out so soon?

Depends on the condition of the motor when you bought it. I would try and replace those valve stem seals first before droping the money on the headgasket.

Also, if your rings went bad, you would see A LOT of smoke and the engine would run rough(blow-by).

oh yeah that would make sense. the motor runs fine. well i was already plannin to change my HG sometime soon. i already have the ARP studs and apexi Metal HG. thx
