if you get the RB26 thru motorex it would be legal, but if you imported it yourself it wouldn't have the necessary EPA changes. It doesn't matter though because in most states it still wouldn't be legal to put it in a 240SX because the engine was never offered in any trim, nor was a comparable engine offered in any trim. : )

i figure if your state doesn't do emission testing, and you don't go blabbing to everyone how you have a jdm engine or turbo KA, you'll be fine.

besides, if you have an SR, CA, or ka24det, you can tune it somehow to pass emissions, right? like run low boost, or get one of those random tech cats? unless your'e in CA, then your'e screwed, but even they have tricks to pass.
