I just bought a 89 240sx se today and I was just wondering if the 89 se came with a factory L.S.D in it. Im pretty new to nissan's ive been a dsm guy for a while.

I know the HICAS models did (the ones with 4 wheel steering), but I cant remember if HICAS was offered in 89. It's late, I'm tired, I'm sorry

I still have a dsm its a 95 gst with a super 20g but it only runs high 13s im trying to sell it cause i just bought the 240 and im trying to get this kids 1st gen talon, i have to admitt though even though this is kinda gay, i saw initial d the first time and started watch drifting videos and bought a 240 so i can be a wanabe drifter. if you think about it, racing in a straight line sucks after a while and i got tired of it.

100 posts since August 29th, thats impressive Swift. : )

Some say all 89s had LSD, others say no 89s had LSD, if you can burn out and leave two tracks, you have LSD. If theres a big orange sticker that says you have LSD on your rear differential, you have LSD. : ) Theres a few other ways, but try those first, they're the easiest.

Which other years/models had LSDs? The SEs? The 91 and up?

I believe the s14s had an option for lsd if you had ABS brakes I am not saying if you have abs then you got lsd but hey drop the hammer smoke the **** out of the tires and we can always see 2 streaks is GOOD

All that i know about 89-94 240's is that the models which had the super hicas 4 wheel steering also had an lsd.
