One problem or two? And what are they?

Firstly, we have searched. I have a few ideas and I am going to check them out. Patient: 1991 Q45 130K. Major recommended service done at 100K. For about the last 4-5 weeks, would attempt to start the car. All dash lights bells and etc,come on---however when the key is advanced to start nothing, no whine,click,nada. Headlights bright dash lights good radio plays battery seems fine.Discussed this on forum, folks suggest bad battery. Replaced battery car starts fine for a few days. Today car again will not start,when it finally takes off, chockes a little, ran it up the canyon near our home runs well ,but again chokes and sputters once. Attemted to start tonight. Will not start. Had wife with good ears under hood. She isolates clicking electrical noise to blue module passenger side near windshield. Two plugs going into the bottom schematic drawing of what looks to be a relay on the top of this unit. Did parts number search came up with nothing . Could this ? relay be bad?????or more to the point intermittently bad? Also check engine light came on once today ,but is now off. Dash computer display is dim and now the emergency brake light has a faint eerie glow to it (& no,the brake is not on). Ideas, prognosis suggestions...please!

Sounds like three problems...

Attempting to start + no click + battery strong = Bad StarterBad running = Might be plugs or injectors..try injector and intake clean +replace plugs and gas filtersBrake light glowing = Sign of Bad Alternator ... will get brighter till total failure
