Blue smoke and a strange grinding noise existed before the turbo teardown. It sounded to me and my friend like it was comming from the turbo. Took it apart found tons of shaft play.

New turbo, startup, warmup and blue smoke and a deep down Grrgrrgrr noise.

I hate this car. I hate this motor.

You still using the origional headgasket?

My waterpump and transmission input shaft make all sorts of funky noises (it took me a while to figure out where the sounds were coming from) but wont effect the performance or reliablility of the motor, I hope it turns out to be something similar for you.

Damn Cyber, why bad things always happen to you? Did the turbo starve of oil or something. Last time I put my FP big-28, I cranked the engine with the fuel pump fuse pulled and the turbo oil outlet hose disconnected, just to make sure the turbo has oil circulating. What kind of turbo did you put in? And what kind of oil line do you use?

I installed the S15 t28 with a bent S13 t25 oil line.

Its blue smoke from the tailpipe. it was there, between shifts, before the turbo swap. I had hoped that replacing a messedup t25 would fix it.

who knows, maybe its just ultra rich from my bov? Maybe its something much worse. I'm just going to drive it till it breaks, then i'll know what needs to be fixed.

maybe try recirculating the bov. how bad is the bent oil line? imo, i would replace that hard line with a ss line. one has screwed me over already. don't let the line ruin your new turbo.
