hey guys, long time no talk. havent had any time for car stuff (dont make me post the pictures, dauntt)

time has come to replace the old air filter, im moving up to flavor country. im looking into one of those little K&N-ish adapter plates and filter, wheres a good place to buy online? preferably a store and not ebay, i dont feel like using paypal or dealing with one of those 'sell rice from your bedroom, mang!' operations.

ive known ppl to have those APC filters and the metal end cap fell off letting loads of unfiltered air into the engine... another testiment that APC is nothing but crap. EnjukuRacing sells just a cone filter kit, dont remember how much.

hey, you think going APC filter is cheap, when i wanted to get an intake on my old lumina, i was too lazy and cheap to get a cone. so... i just cut a massive amount of plastic off the factory airbox. i dont know about power, but it ran cooler, was a helluva lot louder, and still filtered fine.-Enzo

u can take the lid off the stock box and use silicon adhesive or something to glue down a filter (stock/kn stock replacement) and it will be louder, and it's getting more air (not 360 degree filter though). Sensor? not in the box.

also what you could do..... It wont make an improvement like they all clam, but if you look at the timing advance kits on ebay. It is a little wire, that you would plug in from one side of the iat sensor then into the other. After you put this mod in the iat sensor, electrical tape it up and you wont have to worry about it. The iat sensor meters intake air temp, and the mod supposibly makes it always read at 32 degress adding more fuel and creating more power. You should be able to get one for like 5 bucks, or if you know alot about elevtronics you could probably make one for 30 cents. Here is a link to what i am talking about....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=6776Dont believe what it says, but you wont have to worry about your check engine light being on, or a sensor flapping around with this.

if they showed me a picture of it, i bet i could craft it. its probably just a wire with two end caps that bypasses the sensor, right?

whats the point of the IAT sensor if it can be bypassed and not be missed?

whoa whoa... look at that guys feedback. all "private" items, and half neutral/negative?

"Neutral : just a 50cent resistor ""Complaint : Module/ $.50 resistor instructions vary significantly from listing. Not again! "

You've got to be finger-fuc#ing me!!! That guy is still selling those. Search this site for: "Free (almost) timing advance kit" IT is just a 3.3k ohm resistor. Unclip the wiring harness for the IAT sensor, plug the 3.3k ohm resistor in to the vehicle end of the wiring harness and tape it up. It doesn't do anything noticable... a lot of us have tried it and experienced little or nothing. It IS a quick and easy way to eliminate the need for an adapter for your IAT.

my car color right now is a pain in the ***... hardly any wheels go with the color. i believe the name nissan gave it is "silver fog", sort of a pewtery color. it looks nice and all, but shiny rims dont go with it. i did a little photoshopping, and even gunmetal rims dont look too hot.

Ahhahaha!! thanks Blacky... but I don't need a free-b! I'm serious.... I'm almost as pissed to see this guy STILL selling 20cent resistors... as I woud be if you were trying to ..... well, you know what! If I saw this guy in person I would stab him in the adam's apple with a splintered fence post. If you ever came near my a$$ with ANYTHING... you would suffer a similar fate!

You're right, if they are stupid enough to buy it, they deserve to get ripped off. But it makes 240 owners look stupid. I don't mind seeing idiots get shafted by their own ignorance, but when it makes the community as a whole look bad... then I get pissed!

and.. what does this mean? If you ever came near my a$$ with ANYTHING... you would suffer a similar fate!

It means:

nevermind.
