..on my M35 is the Emergency brake. There are so many automatic and techy things , that many times I forget to release the E-brake and drive off with it engaged. Is there any way to install an alarm on the mechanism?

thx

Just smack yourself every time you forget to take off the brake. After a while you will learn. Not to mention replacing your break pads early will cost ya.

I hardly ever use my E- Brake.

The display screen will tell you that the emergency brake is still engaged when you drive off. Big red display ... cannot be missed.!

If this does not happen, you should get the dealer to fix it!

That's great that the screen has a nice, big, red display. I think the more obvious warning would be the fact that the car doesn't move.

If it is lightly engaged, the car power just overpowers it, just makes the car seem a bit sluggish. Then, the red warning on the screen is helpful!

My wife has this problem - she never pushes the brake hard enough ...
