ditto on the lights. Those things are getting harder to find now - no? I think alot of Ebay sellers were selling them for cheaper than what I see now...

Anybody know where I can score a pair cheap (sorry, threadjack!)

Ok - feel free to ignore that threadjack.

we have to put day-time lights...connect the front bumper light with your ignition key! hihihihe car have to be in good overall condition.

Upon arrival at Customs, a qualifying vehicle will be entered into the RIV program. The registration fee is $197 in Quebec and $182 in other provinces. Within 45 days, the vehicle must be altered at your expense to meet Transport Canada requirements (it may need daytime running lights and metric labels for instruments, for example). You won't be able to register and license the car in Canada until it is modified and inspected. The RIV Web site contains a list of eligible vehicles and detailed information about typical modification and inspection requirements.

For the metric label, we are ok in the vert. We jus need day time light... 30 minute to install :P

and for the taillight, Origin Lab do this set of taillight. They do smokey light tooAnd yes we can find cheaper on ebay, and they fit great.

Welcome dompower!

I am also new here. This is about my 3rd or 4th day. I just got my car out of the shop. I couldn't do the swap on my own.. The mechanic did the ECU and ignitor wiring wrong so it doesn't run yet. (He fried the ignitor. I re-wired, and waiting on new ignitor from the mail).

You can get those tail lights on eBay. I bought a pair last year and added the "ferrari style vinyl" to it. HOT!!

dom,

So you just need the Canadian DRLs added and a USA title signed over, and you can register it?

(I'm asking because I might be willing to arrange exporting verts and I might also buy a second home in rural Quebec)

Those lights are no longer being sold on ebay for some reason. Sucks.

It's been 'hit and miss' on eBay lately. When I bought my tail lights, there were 3 sets. Shoulda bought 2 sets because mine doesn't have the "bulb mounts" that attach to the back side of the tail light to hold the bulbs in place, so i had to "rig" it up. Well, before fixing it, one bulb managed to rest against the tail light during a night shift at Pizza Hut and melted a small circle into the lens. It's not a hole, but it's visible and permanent.

I saw this one today: http://cgi.ebay.com/JDM-SILVIA...wItem

Those lights use the stock bulb holders. You can get a set on the classifieds or at a junkyard.
