Post

Okay, after my post where everyone shared opinions and really helped and gave some good ideas, I am still a little confused. I have been reading some posts on wheel fitment on s13, and now I am back to the beginning.

I have a 91 with Tokico HP and Tein S-Tech. I am ordering FN01R-C on Friday. I want to know from someone with a lot of experience the difference in fitment of x7 and x8 on front with a 225/45-17. I do not want to run a spacer, do not want to lose steering travel, and do not want to rub my struts. Will the x7 have more space on the strut side or on the fender side. The only offset they offer in either width is +35 I think. I have no time to call. It IS a 4 lug. I will roll fender regardless of size.

On the back, I need the solid answer as well. Can I run a x9 with only a roll? 245/(40-45)-17 is the tire choices depending on stock. My tires are free. Only Kumho and Falken. How far will they be from the fender and the shock/spring? What will rub? I cannot look at my car, it is still at the frame shop. I do not trust calculators as much as I trust the guy that puts x9 on HIS OWN CAR!!!!I need help on this because I am getting tired of worrying. I think that the x9 are +20, but I am not sure. I cannot find the wheels on Option's website, but they have them in stock. I will check on Thursday to see if you wonderful people can give me a solid answer.

A) They're FN01Rs... they'll look retarded in any size.B) Funnier than a 240SX with 7in fronts? I think not.

Just get the damn 8 and 9s. or better yet, get the 9s and run a 235/40 all the way around.

yeah youre right...fn's come in all these sizes but they only have one pattern for each size...and i can never remember what sizes come in which

either run x8 +35 with a 215, or x9 +20 with a 235, and call it a day

1) You can run whatever tire you want because your car is not low enuf - the tires won't be hitting the fenders even if they stick out.

2) W/ stock fenders, only a roll will not fit 245 "flush" wise unless you pull a lil or run more negative camber, but look @ 1).

3) you can run x9 +20 all around and that's about the most you can run on stockish fenders. I run x9 +20 w/ 225/40 tires. + you can rotate tires.

4) Just buy the damn thing. w/ an awesome standard size like x9 +20, even if they don't fit the way you like them, you can make basically all of your money back selling to someone on the forums.

Thank you for all of your replies, however smart-*** that they might be. Maybe I do just need to buy the wheels and play nice. I will be rolling so clean, and when people say where did you find that rice, I will say "NICO!!!" See, I love attention.

No, really, I just do not want to spend 775 on wheels then mount tires and find that they do not fit and I can't return them.

ok, just to make sure...

you can run 17x9 +20 with 235/45/17, dunno about 245

you can run 17x8 +35 with 215/45/17, 225/45/17 if all youre doing for suspension is what you have

those are your choices, you really cant stagger fn01's with 4 lug, just run them all around

if you just want to slap it on and call it a day i'd suggest 17x8+35 all around. 17x9 is going to take some work(camber) and limits you on proper tire sizing.

17x8 225/4517x8 225/45

It is finished. I like being able to rotate, not that I will, because I like keeping good tires up front and will just buy new back ones.
