I looked and looked but was unable to find anyone running 17's with a 38 offset. I'm still noob when it comes to wheels, and I need to know if they will be relatively flush. Ive been to the usual tire sites, but haven't been able to develop a clear picture in my mind as to whether or not this is gonna work. Any insight or previous experience on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Should be ok, a 17x7 +38 with 225/45 should stick out almost 1.5 inches further than the stock wheel/tire. Measure that and see how far out it will be compared to the fender.

Wow, an inch and a half more? That seems like it would stick out WAY too far. I dont mean to question a guru like a mod, but I swear I'm totally clueless. Is 1 1/2" a normal upgrade? Seems like it might be flush at the top but stick out halfway down.

One more noob question. Are these gonna hit the fender at the top if I lower with the normal kits. (meaning the 2 for sale at versaspeed)

The stock ones are pretty sunken in, don't think 1.5 (to be precise its like 1.3 inch) would be that bad. Just measure to make sure it won't stick too far out from the fender for your liking.

Any aftermarket springs shouldn't be a problem unless you get way too tall of a tire. The tires that were on those wheels would be fine.

Mine is +42 offset also. Not flush. Use +38 if the model you're eyeing is available
