My speedo stopped working but after switching it into a friends ride it worked fine. Leaving me with the idea that maybe the sensor itself it worn out, I've checked but have been unsucessful in find instructions where to find and remove the VSS. Could someone please point me in the direction of that link? Thanks

I looked in the service manual and found how to diagnose it but no clue to its exact location, is it reachable from inside the hood, under the car, is it INSIDE the transmission, I havent a clue. For sake of not getting every bored copper in this town on me for accidental speeding I must fix the speedo. Please help, thanks

I got up under there and pulled the vss out and stuck it back in (didn't look damaged or anything), glanced for a bare wire touching nearby and didnt see anything. Started driving down the road today and the speedo is starting to jump around and it's trying to come back to life. Sound like a wiring issue maybe?

Thanks R.j, i'll dig through the fsm and find the diagnostic thing for it. I called the local nissan dealership and they want a smooth 110.00 for the little bugger.
