ok , i just changed the distributor cap, rotor, and plugs. i took off the black aiv box but left on the metal thing with the metal pipe that connects to the cat under neath it( black box, ). now i drove round the block and car drove fine, stopped at 2 stop signs, no prob. third stop sign comes, and the car dies. theres some kind of ecu box thing under the armrest, and , when i opened the door, it made this wierd noise like someone was typing on the keyboard. but when i shut the door, it was quiet. then sum guys helps me w/ a jumpstart. car runs, but then when i stop it dies. so i trie to jump mit again. makes this "whir whir whir" noise, then smoke comes up from under the header side of the car. WTF WTF WTF!!! does ne 1 know something i dont????

When you left that metal pipe from the AIV open (not clamped or blocked) it may have caused the car to die. I Couldn't get the damed bolt off, so I put it all back together and left it be until I can get one. But anyway, try putting the AIV stuff back on or unscrew the pipe and block it with a nickle or crimp it shut. BTW did you plug those two little vaccum lines from it with screws or somein else? A little confusing, if you need help: frapjap is my aim.

actualy, the metal thing with the hose that connects to the black box, i ran that hose straight to the intake pipe where it would normally run if it had the black box w/ it, the little vaccum lines are still connected to the metal thing

Ok, get rid of the hose you put on from the exhaust to the intake. You are just sucking straight exhaust that way. Block off the metal tube to exhaust and the hole in the intake box. It'll run after that.

would this explain why the abttery or alternator seem bad, cause when it died, all the lights were real dim, and my horn didnt wrk either, which was wierd, cause it run straight to the battery

hmm thats wierd on my car the lil black box . the hose the comes out is broken so i jsut left it there. then i got a 4in mushroom intake with adapter from hks and put on my maf.am i suppose to have something connected to that lil black box cause my car is running fine.?
