So I plan on getting new wheels over the winter, while my baby is resting, and I know with the setup i'm looking at it's gonna need a roll at least. For guys that have done it, do you have to remove the fender liner or just move it somehow? Even with the crappy 8in. wide ones I have now it rubs a little up front, and I plan on going 9.5 +20.

If you're talking about the plastic inner fender just remove it. Though if you're planning on drifting or any crazyness I would suggest rerouting the wiring harness and lines that run behind the inner fender liner plastic thing. The guys I know that drift their 240's just cut a hole in their fire wall and run em through there. Just use common sense with what you're doing and you should be fine. :bigthumb:

What size of rims are going to use? I would get the rims and tires first, test fit them and then determine if you need to roll anything. Im running 18x9.5 +22 with 245-35-18 tires in front, the wheels clear my front fender with no problem. Also do you plan on lowering the car?

I was actually looking at the exact Varrstoen setup you have 300zxstanced! That's 18x10.5 on the rear right? I have Tein S-tech springs on mine and i'm mainly concerned about the front, since the rear didn't drop much. I also want to run a smaller tire than yours, like a 225/35/18.

@aerhead, 225'S on the front will give you a stretched look. The 245's fit with fine ( part of the rims lip is exposed) but it doesnt look stretched. Also my fronts clear with now issues. The rims shops will tell you to use a 18x10.5 +22 on the rear, but i think that is to aggressive. I have the +30mm on the rears and they were very agresive, but i was able to camber them in to look flush with the rear fender. Tires make a big difference on the shoulder profile, my rears are Michlien (a little chunky) the fronts are Yokohama ( very slender looking ). I also have adjustable coilovers but I think I am to low i may bring it up a little.

Oddly enough, everything you would change is what I would like to do, lol. I want it low, aggressive offset, and a little stretch. Nothing crazy, but I want it to have that mean look when it's coming down the street. The handling is fine at the current height, so I'm happy with that. I think the lines on the Z are too nice to ruin with a body kit, so I think the lower the better as long as its driveable. I just want to avoid rubbing when I get my new wheels.

I had a 0.8 drop (Eibach lowering springs), I dont think you will have any issues as far as clearnce. Rolling you fenders wil give you more clearence which will also let you run more positive camber, which is good also. If you dont roll your fenders you may have to run enough negative camber to allow the wheels to clear the fender when the suspension compresses while driving. The only issues I had was finding the ride height limit. First I was to high, then to low but now im about just right. If you want i can post some pics of how the wheels sit on my car.

I wouldn't mind seeing how flush the wheels are to the fender.
