Thanks for the support fella's. But has anyone heard of what i am experiencing. Im sure i will be able to figure it out but a little push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: I forgot to mention in the above. While i had it running i also found out the turbo is facked up. Crazy thing is there is no side to side either. But there is a little in and out. Guess the seal shiv the bed on me while it was sitting up. Oh well the bright side guess this is a good reason for me to use borg s200 series i have laying around collecting dust.

Ok i think i have figured out my prob. Well after alot of tracing wires and checking fuses and what not. I am almost 99% sure it is my ignitor. The reason is because i check all incoming signals from maf, cas, injectors, and coils. I have a ground signal at all points at the ecu. So i went up top and started checking the plugs for any power. Well i have a small signal at the connector going into the ignitor and none coming out whatsoever. I am going to go to a pick and pull and try and find one off a j30 and do the wiring conversion, hope this helps

Still not real sure why the ignitor just up and gave up the ghost like that, and it may just be shear coincidence> however you spell that. But it seemed like exactly when i plug in the MAFS everything crapped out. So hopefully this will fix the prob. Anybody got a known good working ignitor off a s1 rb25 they want to get off of cheap

Thanks

Well just for a little bit. I was able to get it started yesterday. Sorry no vid. I got it to crank and run but it was very rough and didnt want to stay running. I guess you could expect that with no maf and all of the major vacumm lines unplugged But anyways after all the excitement( i was by myself) i quit and started to try and tiedy up some of the loose ends i have, wiring and such.

So i after that i went back just try one more time before i went home. I wired in a n60 maf according the the rbforms schematic and went to crank it. Well as you may suspect, no go. After a short bit of trouble shooting i found that i now have no spark. I have unhooked the maf and backtraced all of the wiring to no avail. Has anyone experienced something like this and would a reset of the ecu be wise. If so how do you properly do so. Thanks
Just a basic thing but I missed it when I did my swap as most of the online instructions miss it but make sure your have a 12v wire running to your power wire for your coils/igniter. I missed this and it had me boggled for a bit why it would not run. Also I learned that as much as it sucks anticipation wise, get everything hooked up before you start asking questions, meaning maf, intercooler piping, EVERYTHING. Then ask questions, there is no reason to trouble shoot till its 100% together.

Kalypso,

Awd transmission is still in there. I am about two pieces away from starting my conversion over. I am going quite a different route than what most would go. But ill get into more detail with that when i start and there will be plenty of pics to follow.

Glue,

Not sure if your asking about the reflection or my rear suspension. If your asking about suspension it is called a cantilever setup.

pics of a similar set up and a whole bunch of other setups including a front cantilever setup. I'm not thread jacking It's just a really interesting concept I saw it on ht back in my honda days never thought I'd see so many people using this.

Ok got a little more work done on the rear suspension. It is almost complete, minus two more heim joints, two more little brackers for the bottom mount of the shocks, and welding it completely up. Oh and i am going to tie the two bottom mounts together with a cross bar. So here we go.

Thanks,

oh ok, thats what im wondering, are you going to disconnect the front axle and leave it?

or remove the housing entirely ( more complex but i've seen someone shave the fwd assembly off, I can get pics if you'd like )

I'd like to see how you resolve that... im excited, that rear cantilever looks incredible. (you should do a detailed write-up later on, on how to make one... that'd be fun.

I was actually thinking of maybe marketing the suspension. But problem is even if i did so and sold it as a whole kit the rear deck has to have extensive mods for this to work (basically cut it out). But all in all the the project wasnt that hard to do. Pretty straight forward. The hardest part was getting that blasted strut cross bar right. After that it was just basic measurements and mirroring the frist side.

As far as the awd swap goes i will actually be using the stock oil pan and trans, just the rest of it will be different. But i will get further into detail when i start that process. Its going to be a long road. But when its all done the payoff will be well worth IMO.

Little update:

Got tired of my mig freakn birds nesting everytime i wanted to weld a little alluminum so i modified it.

Basically as you can see i took the wire feed out of the main body and made it into a pistol. Works pretty good, have to say im very happy with the outcome.

Cars coming along good by the end of January i should have a huge update. I have alot of parts headed my way shortly and hope to have a good month ahead. Christmas took a dent out of the ol' wallet, with kids and all. But i promise big updates coming.

First things first.... subscribed. This is an awesome build.

Next, by the looks/sound of things you are a pretty good custom fabricator and are able to make things work that just aren't supposed to work. That is a very good skill to have.

Finally, what was your reasoning for going cantilever? I know there can be a multitude of benefits, as well as a few drawbacks, to this type of setup, so I would like to know what pushed you to go this route.

Hey man thanks for compliments. But to answer your question, well i have no one answer. I guess the main reason is the adjustability of this setup. I mean i can raise or lower the rear of my car by four inches and i can choose from firm or soft with different spring rates or by adjusting the shock itself. The cost versus other setups it dramatically different aswell and then you just cant deny the fact that it looks awesome in the back window to

But seriously i think it is a very good concept and if designed and built properly in can be superior.(not saying my design is the best).

Yeh, that type of adjustability is very nice too have, especially (from what I understand) you can do most adjustments straight out of the back seat of your car? and you don't have to take off the tires and hop under the car much?

How long did it take you to design/fab up this system? Did you do some research and then just start piecing together different components of it and adjust it as you went, or did you draw up some designs by hand or CAD and work off of those plans?

Finally, yes the wow factor is definately there. Yet another piece of equipment to make the girls stop and their panties drop.

Well i got another updapte. Not big or nothing but i get bored with nothing to do.(waitn on parts) So i decided that with everything being converted over to awd, a little stitch welding wouldnt hurt. Just getting started and still have alot to do but wanted to show a few pics.

And finally, my battery tray was gone. Totally ate from the years gone by. So here is the start of some rust repair.

Well, got some more goodies in the mail today. My megasquirt 2 showed up. Time to really get to work.

In the assembly guide it says to prepare to be at it for 6-8 hours for a beginner. Wish me luck

Got started on the megasquirt a little last night. I have to say that it isnt as bad as i thought is was going to be. Its slow going but very interesting. I think i made the right choice and am very excited for it to be done.

Well as title states i have a rb25det i bought for sale. Im selling it as a long block, but everthing is here. Its just that it is not on the engine. I have wiring(cut) with ecu. The ignitor is blown. I have intake with all sensors, throttle body, ac compressor, power steering pump and altenator. The only thing is the oil pan is not on it, it was f'ed up when i got the motor and i just scrapped it.

Anyways i am asking 600 hundred plus shipping. Depending on where ur at shipping shouldnt exceed 200 bongs.

Ok i have more stuff for sale now. Basically i am giving up on the awd swap and want to get rid of a couple things. What i have is as follows.

1. Attessa pump in used but goood working condition. Asking 125.00

2. R32 front spindles with hubs. Bearings feel great. Asking 100.00 for the pair.

3. I have 3 velocity stacks by ross machine racing, brand new. These are 40.00 a piece from them. Ill let em go for 25.00 a piece.

4. Finally, i have two oem clutches. One from a r33 rb26(pull type) and one from a rb25( i believe it is push type). Condition will show in pictures but the discs on both clutches have alot of life left. Asking 20.00 a set.

I am willing to ship anywhere in the lower 48 at buyers expense. Thanks
